IFA 2014 – LG MiniBeam Projector

IFA 2014. LG Electronics unveiled its newBluetooth MiniBeam projector (model PW700) to add to their current portfolio of highly portable projection solutions.

Pocket Projector

This new addition to their portable entertainment solutions can project images on any flat surface and with Bluetooth connectivity. This means it can display video sent via bluetooth, as well as sending the audio to bluetooth headsets or speaker system. Truly a portable home-cinema experience, or so the company say.

This tiny projector measures a mere 172mm x 117mm and weighs 580g. The PW700 get’s it’s designation from the 700 ANSI-Lumens of brightness it can put out. Other important specifications are a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 1280 x 800 resolution (supporting full 720p content and downscaling for 1080p).

Cinema on the go

The PW700 can will be a home-cinema in your pocket (well, small bag) and will also prove very useful for those travelling on business to deliver a pitch to a client.

The projector is also compatible with screen sharing options such as WiDi, Miracast, and has a single HDMI connection. This should allow the projector to be used in almost any portable situation.
