Ritot – A Smartwatch with a Difference
Update Nov 2015: Ritot, although regularly communicating its development efforts, has raised lots of red flags for fraud, as the shipment date is pushed further away.
Very few things scream “future of technology” quite as loudly as holograms, and though we’ve seen innovative concepts from time to time it seems we’re not quite ready for a working, affordable, practical solution just yet.

Smart projection watch
One Indiegogo campaign that comes pretty close and is certainly guaranteed to get that all-important “wow” factor is the Ritot – the first projection watch. A quick look at the pictures of Ritot tells you all you need to know – the fact that it stands out so immediately is quite an accomplishment given today’s wealth of fancy timepieces and smart watches.
The Ritot’s simple band style is available in a sleek unisex Sport version and a Bracelet version (for the more fashion conscious) both of which will come in four sizes, and a choice of colours.
In addition to projecting the time onto your wrist, when connected to a Smartphone the Ritot can also provide haptic notitications of incoming calls, messages, reminders and emails; and will be able to project the callers name and display short messages from social media apps like Facebook and Twitter. It’s waterproof, adjustable for right or left handers and comes with a chargeable base that powers it up wirelessly and also doubles as an alarm clock.
The Ritot campaign has raised a spectacular total of $1.679.072 USD (2,804% more that intially required).
According to the schedule, it plans to ship the product to Indiegogo customers in February 2015. The current plan is to finalise the software and hardware by May 2016.
