Fossil Q Founder Smartwatch now on Sale from Google Play Store
Consumers set on purchasing the Fossil Q Founder smartwatch from Google’s online store front (in the US), as opposed to getting it directly from Fossil, can now own one of the two versions of the smartwatch. Although the nice-looking Fossil Q Founder had been listed on the Google Play Store earlier, there was no option for users to purchase it until yesterday; yet it has been available from Fossil retail stores for nearly two weeks.
Fossil Q Founder Smartwatch Design
The Fossil Q Founder is one of the first Android Wear smartwatches featuring an Intel processor. It is powered by the Android Wear operating system, and comes with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.1, 400 mAh battery, and ships with IP67 certification, making it dust and water-resistant.
The smartwatch comes in two versions with two different prices: the brown leather strapped model is priced at $275, while the stainless steel-finish bracelet is available for $295. While the price may seem a little high, it is still a relatively good value given the Motorola Moto 360 with a metal bracelet will be selling for $400.
The two smartwatches are also comparable, since both feature a 1.5-inch LCD display with a 360 x 326 screen resolution with 240ppi pixel density, as well as a companion app that allows the users to personalise their watch faces.
The new Fossil Q Founder smartwatch is compatible with both Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and higher and iOS devices running version 8.2 or higher.
