Augmented Reality

AR, or augmented reality supplements what you see with all sorts of information: the identity of a particular building, where you parked your car, or a mythical rising up out of the grass (It’s not all serious, you know.) AR has perhaps even more potential than VR, as there are applications for education, travel, and of course, fun.

There’s the augmented reality granddad Google Glass and the versatile Microsoft Hololens. Plus, AR mobile apps that are both useful and entertaining are increasing in popularity.

The next few years look to be exciting ones for the VR and AR realm. Announced products will ship, new products will undoubtedly come into existence, and developers will likely come up with new ways to use this new technology. Watch this space.
